Felice Casson, born August 5, 1953, in Chioggia, Italy, is a former Italian magistrate, politician, and essayist renowned for uncovering Operation Gladio, a clandestine NATO "stay-behind" network, during his investigation of the 1972 Peteano bombing. A law graduate from Padua University, he entered the magistracy in 1980, serving as a public prosecutor in Venice from 1993 to 2005. Elected to the Italian Senate in 2006, he served until 2018, focusing on terrorism, corruption, and environmental safety. Casson also ran for Venice mayor in 2005 and 2015, authored influential books, and taught environmental law.
