===Personnel with Intelligence Backgrounds=== Nugan Hand employed or was associated with numerous former CIA and military figures. Michael Hand, a co-founder, had worked for Air America and other CIA-linked entities in Vietnam and Laos. Other associates, like Dale C. Holmgren (Taiwan representative) and George F. Shaw (Cayman Islands representative), had direct ties to Air America or its predecessor, Civil Air Transport. Four early Nugan Hand shareholders listed their addresses as the Air America office in San Francisco, further linking the bank to CIA operations.
