==Giulio Andreotti== Giulio Andreotti (1919–2013), a towering figure in Italian politics, served as Prime Minister seven times between 1972 and 1992 and held numerous ministerial roles, earning the nickname “Divo Giulio” for his enduring influence. A leading member of the Christian Democracy (DC) party, Andreotti was implicated in [[Operation Gladio]], NATO’s clandestine “stay-behind” network established in the 1950s to counter a potential Soviet invasion, which in Italy morphed into a tool for internal subversion during the Cold War’s “Years of Lead” (1960s–1980s). His ties to Gladio, as well as the [[Propaganda Due P2]] Masonic lodge, placed him at the center of Italy’s shadowy political machinations.
